Project Butterfly Xmas Posies

For the past few years Simplicity Funerals Nelson have joined with Project Butterfly in Nelson to offer a beautiful workshop and a time for people to come together to make lovely posies for children’s graves around the Nelson district.

We receive lots of donations of flowers and other decorative items, and together over a few hours, we create well over 200 posies.  These are then delivered to the various cemeteries in the district the following day and distributed around the graves by groups of volunteers.

Some of these volunteers will be parents that have lost babies or children themselves, some are grandparents of children lost, others are friends or just lovely people within our community who want to take part and share in this very special activity.
